Production area: San Marzano (TA), Salento, Puglia. Approximately 130 meters above sea level. The region is characterized by high temperatures and low to average rainfall.
Soil: Clay, fine-textured and rich in iron oxides, which give the soil its characteristic red hue. Limestone subsoil with some outcropping rocks.
Harvest: The last ten days of August, hand-picked and crated in the early morning.
Aging: 80% of the wine is aged in stainless steel silos, the remaining 20% in 6-hectoliter French oak barrels for 4 months.
Tasting Notes: With a brilliant straw-yellow color and golden highlights, this wine reveals a delicate floral freshness, softened by notes of ripe peach and apricot, subtly enhanced with a hint of vanilla. The palate is smooth and fragrant, with a fruity finish and subtle notes of honey that balance a pleasant freshness.
Pairings: It pairs traditionally with pastries and viennoiseries. It is also an excellent aperitif and a choice ingredient for cocktails.
